Bengaluru-based electric performance motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette has achieved a landmark feat by becoming the first Indian motorcycle brand to successfully complete the legendary Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit, one of the most challenging and iconic motorcycle courses in the world.

The historic achievement took place on June 6, 2026, when five Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 motorcycles completed a full lap of the renowned 37.72-mile (60.72 km) Isle of Man TT Mountain Course. The motorcycles were piloted by former Isle of Man TT race winner James Hillier, actor and motorcycle enthusiast Ranvijay Singha, and multiple national champion rider Abhishek Vasudev.

The accomplishment has been officially recognized by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records, marking a significant milestone for Indian motorcycle engineering and electric mobility.

The successful completion of the demanding Mountain Course showcases the performance, reliability, and technological maturity of the Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2. The achievement also highlights India’s growing capabilities in developing world-class electric vehicles capable of performing on globally respected motorcycling platforms.

Commenting on the milestone, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said, “Completing a lap of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course with the F77s is a significant milestone for Ultraviolette and a proud moment for Indian design and engineering. It demonstrates how far electric motorcycle technology has evolved and reinforces our belief that high-performance electric mobility can compete on the world’s most demanding stages.”

He further added, “For decades, the Isle of Man TT has been where motorcycle technology is tested, proven, and celebrated. The TT Zero class was ahead of its time and showed the world that electric motorcycles could be more than an alternative; they could be genuinely exciting, competitive, and capable. Today, electric motorcycles have reached an entirely new level of capability, and we would love to see electric racing return to the Isle of Man TT and continue driving the next chapter of motorcycle innovation.”

The milestone is particularly noteworthy as the Ultraviolette F77 remains the only Indian electric two-wheeler currently certified and retailed in the United Kingdom and 18 other European countries. The achievement further strengthens the company’s position as a global ambassador for India’s electric mobility ambitions.
