Electric performance motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has strengthened its presence in India’s growing EV market with the launch of a new UV Space Station in Nagpur. The new EV experience centre was inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, highlighting the importance of electric mobility expansion in India.

The new dealership marks a strategic step in Ultraviolette’s retail expansion plan as the company continues to grow its electric motorcycle sales and service network across key Indian cities.

Ultraviolette Nagpur UV Space Station: Sales, Service and Experience Centre

The new UV Space Station, developed in partnership with Quantum Surge Motors LLP, is a 3S facility (Sales, Service and Spares) designed to provide a complete ownership ecosystem. Customers can experience test rides, product consultations, servicing support and official accessories at a single location.

The showroom will display Ultraviolette’s flagship performance electric motorcycles, including the X-47 Crossover and the F77 series, both positioned as high-performance electric bikes in India.

Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover: Performance, Range and Features

The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover stands out as the world’s first radar-equipped electric motorcycle in its category. The motorcycle produces 40.2hp and 100 Nm of torque, enabling a claimed 0-60 kmph sprint in just 2.8 seconds.

Key performance highlights include:

  • 10.3 kWh battery pack
  • 323 km IDC certified range
  • Multiple ride modes
  • Long-travel suspension
  • Radial all-terrain tyres
  • 5-inch TFT digital display

These specifications position the X-47 among the most technologically advanced electric motorcycles currently available in India.

Advanced Safety Technology with UV Radar Intelligence

Ultraviolette is focusing heavily on rider safety through its UV Radar Intelligence platform. The system uses a 77 GHz rear radar combined with the company’s HyperSense Advanced Rider Assistance System.

Key safety features include:

  • Blind spot detection
  • Lane change assist
  • Overtake alerts
  • Rear collision warning
  • Integrated dashcam system

This technology brings ADAS-like safety capabilities to the electric two-wheeler segment.

Battery Flex (BaaS): Affordable Entry into Performance EV Motorcycles

To make performance EV motorcycles more accessible, Ultraviolette recently introduced its Battery Flex programme, a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model.

Under this programme:

  • X-47 chassis price starts from ₹1.49 lakh
  • Battery subscription starts from ₹2,499 per month
  • Flexible ownership structure
  • Lower upfront purchase cost

This model allows customers to purchase the motorcycle while subscribing separately to the battery, reducing the financial barrier to EV adoption.

Ultraviolette Expansion Strategy in India

With the Nagpur expansion, Ultraviolette continues to grow its national footprint while strengthening its presence in Maharashtra. The company aims to build a complete performance EV ecosystem combining product innovation, retail expansion and flexible ownership solutions.

The brand continues to emphasise its Make in India engineering approach, developing electric mobility platforms designed for global competitiveness.

Official Statement

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said the expansion reflects the rapid growth of India’s EV two-wheeler segment and the rising demand for performance-focused electric motorcycles combining design, technology and sustainability.

CTO and Co-founder Niraj Rajmohan added that Ultraviolette’s continued investment in R&D is aimed at positioning India as a global hub for electric mobility innovation.
