TVS Motor Company has announced the rollout of the one millionth TVS iQube electric scooter from its manufacturing facility in Hosur, marking a significant milestone for both the company and India’s rapidly growing electric mobility sector.

The achievement highlights the increasing adoption of electric two-wheelers in the country and reinforces TVS Motor’s position as one of the key contributors to India’s transition towards sustainable transportation.

Since its launch in 2020, the TVS iQube has emerged as one of India’s best-selling electric scooters, establishing itself as a preferred family-oriented EV through a combination of practicality, technology, and everyday usability. The milestone also reflects the company’s long-term investments in product development, manufacturing, research and development, and EV ecosystem expansion.

Commenting on the achievement, Sudarshan Venu, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, said the production milestone demonstrates how electric mobility is increasingly becoming a part of everyday life in India. He added that the achievement is the result of years of investment in engineering, innovation, and manufacturing capabilities that have enabled the company to develop world-class electric mobility solutions designed and built in India.

A Growing EV Success Story

Over the years, the TVS iQube portfolio has expanded significantly, offering customers multiple battery pack options, varying range capabilities, and connected technology features to cater to diverse mobility needs.

Supporting this growth is an extensive sales and service network comprising over 3,300 touchpoints across more than 3,000 cities nationwide, helping improve EV accessibility and ownership experience across urban and rural markets alike.

Significant Environmental Impact

Beyond sales numbers, the growing community of TVS iQube riders has contributed meaningfully to India’s sustainability goals.

According to the company, TVS iQube owners have collectively covered more than 14.94 billion kilometres since the scooter’s launch. This has helped avoid approximately 522,969 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, highlighting the positive environmental impact of large-scale EV adoption.

TVS estimates that the carbon savings achieved by the iQube community are equivalent to planting nearly 20.9 million trees, underlining the role electric mobility can play in supporting India’s broader energy transition and climate objectives.

Made in India for the World

Designed, engineered, and manufactured in India, the TVS iQube reflects the company’s focus on self-reliance, innovation, and sustainable mobility. As India moves towards its Viksit Bharat vision, the milestone reinforces the growing importance of indigenous EV manufacturing and technological capability in shaping the future of mobility.

With one million units now produced, the TVS iQube has not only become a key player in India’s electric scooter market but also a symbol of the country’s accelerating shift towards cleaner and smarter transportation solutions.
