
Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) have strengthened India’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure with the inauguration of Telangana’s first TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub at iLabs Centre Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad’s Hitech City.
The new high-speed charging facility is strategically located to serve Hyderabad’s growing EV ecosystem, catering to private electric vehicle owners, commercial fleets, ride-hailing operators, corporate commuters, and intercity travellers. As one of India’s fastest-growing technology and business hubs, Hyderabad continues to witness increasing demand for reliable and accessible EV charging infrastructure.
360 kW High-Speed Charging Capacity
The MegaCharger Hub features a total installed charging capacity of 360 kW, comprising three 120 kW DC fast chargers capable of charging up to six electric vehicles simultaneously. Operating round the clock, the facility is designed to significantly reduce charging times while delivering a seamless and dependable charging experience.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana, Gopalakrishnan VC, Director, Automotive and EV Sector Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka, along with senior representatives from Tata Power and Tata Motors.

Expanding the TATA.ev MegaCharger Network
The Hyderabad charging station forms part of the rapidly expanding TATA.ev MegaCharger network, a flagship initiative by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility. The network now comprises more than 750 MegaCharger points across key cities and highway corridors in India, with many locations integrated into the Tata Power EZ Charge app, which has over 5 lakh registered users.
Strengthening India’s EV Charging Ecosystem
Tata Power continues to lead India’s EV charging infrastructure expansion with a network of over 6,500 public charging points spread across 700+ cities and towns. The charging network covers highways, airports, workplaces, commercial establishments, residential communities, and major transit corridors.
In addition, the company has installed more than 2.3 lakh home EV chargers in partnership with leading automotive manufacturers, offering comprehensive charging solutions for electric vehicle owners.
The launch of Telangana’s first TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub reinforces Tata Power’s commitment to accelerating EV adoption and supporting India’s transition towards cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable mobility through the development of a robust nationwide charging ecosystem.
