Renault India has commenced exports of the all-new Duster, with the first shipment of 750 SUVs departing from the company’s manufacturing facility in Chennai for South Africa. The milestone marks the beginning of Renault India’s global export programme for the new-generation SUV, with additional international markets set to follow in the coming months.
The export rollout reinforces India’s growing importance within Renault Group’s global manufacturing network and aligns with the company’s futuREady strategy to position the country as a key hub for manufacturing, engineering and exports.
Commenting on the milestone, Stephane Deblaise, CEO of Renault Group India, said the commencement of Duster exports reflects the quality, manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness of Renault’s Chennai operations.

He added that India has the necessary ingredients to become a leading global automotive export hub, backed by world-class manufacturing, strong engineering talent, production scale and an evolving logistics ecosystem. Deblaise also reiterated Renault’s long-term commitment to India, with the company targeting €2 billion in annual exports from India by 2030.

The all-new Duster is also significant as it becomes the first Renault model in India to be built on the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP), a flexible architecture capable of supporting multiple powertrain options. The SUV has also earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating across all variants and powertrain configurations, highlighting its strong safety credentials for both domestic and export markets.

With exports now underway, the all-new Duster further strengthens Renault India’s role in the brand’s global strategy while showcasing the country’s growing capabilities as a manufacturing and export base for international markets.
