Maruti Suzuki unveiled the Jimny 5-door at Auto Expo 2023 and has now revealed its fuel efficiency figures. The SUV is powered by a 1.5-liter engine producing 105hp and 134.2Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. It features Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD system with various modes. The manual variant achieves 16.94 kpl, while the automatic variant achieves 16.39 kpl.
The Jimny 5-door has received around 30,000 bookings, with a waiting period of up to six months for manual variants and eight months for automatic variants. Pricing is expected to be between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12 lakh, positioning it against rivals like the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.
