Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles is excited to announce the third edition of the Ibex Trail, an adventurous ride to the stunning landscapes of Zanskar as part of their Jawa Yezdi Nomads initiative. This year, the journey will span 11 days from 13th to 23rd July, covering a distance of 1,132 km. Riders will navigate challenging roads and mountain passes, reaching heights of up to 17,480 ft. The route will take them through breathtaking locations including Manali, Jispa, Purne, Padum, Pensi La, Photoksar, Leh, Sarchu, and back to Manali.
Zanskar, named after its copper deposits and valley, is famous for the magnificent Zanskar Range that separates Ladakh from picturesque Kashmir valleys. Participants will experience the demanding terrain of Zanskar, crossing high mountain passes like Shinku La (15,580 ft.) and Pensi La (14,400 ft.). They will witness the sacred Gumbo Rangjan mountain and catch a glimpse of the Drang Drung glacier. The journey will involve river crossings, off-road trails, and enchanting cold desert sands. Additionally, participants will embark on a trek to the Phugtal Gonpa, a historic monastery nestled within a natural cave, accessible only by foot. The ride will conclude in Leh before returning to Manali.
The participation fee for this extraordinary adventure is INR 25,000 per person. It covers accommodation on a twin-sharing basis, daily breakfasts and dinners, service, medical and luggage support, necessary permits, and ride merchandise. Jawa Yezdi technicians will provide complete service backup to ensure a seamless riding experience. A skilled medical support team will be present, and participants will receive basic first-aid training before the ride to handle any minor injuries.
