Mahindra has introduced a range of new features to the top-spec EL variant of the XUV400 EV, leading to a starting price of Rs 19.19 lakh. Notable additions include electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, cruise control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), fog lamps, a boot lamp, and an upgraded audio system with two additional tweeters accompanying the existing 4-speaker setup.

As previously reported, both the XUV300 and XUV400 are set to receive a panoramic sunroof in their upcoming facelifts, scheduled for 2025. Mahindra’s intention is to make panoramic sunroofs a standard feature across the XUV lineup. However, these enhancements will be incorporated with the facelifts, and the XUV400’s refresh is anticipated in 2025.

Mechanically, the Mahindra XUV400 retains its existing configuration. It is equipped with a single electric motor generating 150hp and 310Nm of torque, with the motor situated on the front axle. The EL trim features a 39.4kWh battery, providing a claimed range of 456km according to MIDC testing. The EC trim, on the other hand, utilizes a 34.5kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of 375km (MIDC).

The introduction of these new features results in a slight price increase of Rs 20,000. The XUV400 EV’s base EC variant is priced in the range of Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 16.49 lakh, while the EL trim now falls within the Rs 19.19 lakh to Rs 19.39 lakh bracket. The XUV400 EV competes directly with the Tata Nexon EV, priced between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 19.29 lakh.
