Honda’s latest offering in the 160cc segment is the SP160, priced from Rs 1,17,500 to Rs 1,21,900. Positioned between the Unicorn and the XBlade in terms of both pricing and aesthetics, the SP160 strikes a balance between traditional and modern styling. Sharing its engine and main frame with the Unicorn, the SP160 generates 13.5hp and 14.6Nm of torque, offering a performance level that aligns with rivals like the Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer, Pulsar P150, and TVS Apache RTR 160 2V.
The SP160 differentiates itself with its LED lighting, fully digital instrumentation, and youthful design that features extended tank sections and sharper lines. Despite lacking Bluetooth connectivity, the instrumentation provides essential data. Built on a diamond-type frame akin to the Unicorn, the SP160 utilizes telescopic fork and monoshock suspension while rolling on 17-inch wheels with wider tires. Offered in two variants, both feature single-channel ABS as standard along with front disc brakes. In the competitive landscape of 160cc motorcycles, the SP160 competes directly with popular models like the Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer, Pulsar P150, and TVS Apache RTR 160 2V.
