The Jeep brand had announced a go-local strategy a month back. Now, Jeep India has announced that production for the locally-assembled 2021 Jeep Wrangler has commenced at its Ranjangaon plant, near Pune.
Jeep Wrangler is one of the most iconic car brands in the world. Its heritage and authentic Jeep design, open-air freedom, advanced powertrains, on- and off-road dynamics make it a desirable SUV to own.

Partha Datta, Managing Director, Jeep India said, “Jeep has always represented the ultimate in capability and open-air freedom, and we are incredibly proud that our Made-in-India Wrangler protects that important legacy in the market.”
“The Jeep Wrangler is the second out of the four localised products we committed to launch in India. We wanted to make the world’s most recognised SUV even more accessible to our Indian customers and we are pleased to be able to meet their aspirations.”
The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is now available for pre-booking before going on sale exclusively in India on 15 March, in 26 dealerships across the country. Price and specifications shall be announced later, during the launch.
