Aston Martin has unveiled its new supercar, the Valour, which pays homage to the brand’s 110th birthday. Only 110 units of this exclusive model will be produced. The Valour draws design inspiration from the original V8 Vantage, the 1970s RHAM/1 prototype racer (known as ‘The Muncher’), and the Victor supercar. Its bespoke body structure is derived from the V12 Vantage, featuring a softer design compared to the Victor but retaining its distinctive elements like the bulging bonnet and Kamm-tail rear end.

Under the hood, the Valour is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine derived from the DBS Superleggera. It generates an impressive 715 horsepower and 752 Nm of torque. What sets the Valour apart is the inclusion of a specially designed 6-speed manual gearbox, in contrast to Aston Martin’s usual automatic transmissions in their other models. This decision was made to prioritize the driver’s experience and capture the essence of a timeless analogue classic.

To enhance its performance and dynamics, the Valour features several modifications, including front and rear shear panels, a rear suspension tower strut brace, and fuel tank bracing to improve rigidity. The car is equipped with adjustable dampers, a new power steering setup for precise feedback, and carbon-ceramic disc brakes with substantial dimensions. The bodywork is entirely made of carbon fiber, reducing weight and further enhancing performance.

Externally, the Valour exhibits a striking design with a prominent ‘horse shoe’ vent and twin NACA ducts on the clamshell bonnet for optimal ventilation. The grille design has been updated for improved aesthetics and functionality, incorporating aluminum strakes and carbon fiber intakes for cooling. The round LED headlights are positioned behind a distinct grille, creating an imposing appearance. The rear of the car showcases Valkyrie-inspired LED tail lights and a full-width metal accent, while the bumper incorporates a large diffuser and in-line tri-exhaust tips.

Inside the Valour, you will find a timeless two-seater cockpit that pays homage to Aston Martin’s heritage. The cabin features a beautifully sculpted wooden manual gear lever and shares some design elements with the Vantage model, including switchgear and the placement of the touchscreen infotainment system and AC vents.

Owners of the Valour will have the opportunity to customize their cars through Aston Martin’s Q bespoke service, offering unique liveries, exposed carbon-fiber body finishes, and a wide range of interior personalization options. Deliveries of the Aston Martin Valour are scheduled to begin between September and December of this year.
