Honda has released a teaser for its upcoming Elevate SUV, set to make its global debut on June 6. The SUV, positioned as Honda’s most significant launch this year, is anticipated to arrive around August. The Hyundai Creta is one of the Honda Elevate’s competitors in the competitive midsize SUV market.

The most recent teaser depicts a portion of the SUV’s roof, revealing the inclusion of a sunroof — a feature that influences auto purchase decisions. The Elevate looks to have a standard-sized, single pane sunroof, unlike rivals like the Creta, Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder, which all offer full-size panoramic sunroofs.

With an upright front and a slightly sloping rear, the Elevate’s design combines crossover inspired characteristics. The broad window line and glasshouse add to the feeling of space, while the bonnet has a flat appearance with creases at the corners. The length of the SUV, which is expected to be around 4.3 metres, a 1.5 itre naturally aspirated petrol engine, shared with the City sedan, will power the Elevate at first. With a manual or CVT automatic gearbox, this engine will be able to generate 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. Later, a hybrid version is anticipated to be added to the range.

With its upcoming debut, the Honda Elevate aims to make a strong entry into the midsize SUV segment, leveraging its design elements, sunroof feature, and reliable powertrain options to attract potential buyers.
