Citroen India has finally taken the wraps off its much-anticipated SUV, the C3 Aircross. It is the fourth product from Citroen and will offer both 5-seater & 7-seater configurations. The new C3 Aircross SUV will go on sale in India in the second half of 2023.

The C3 Aircross gets the signature Citroen face with a high bonnet and split LED DRLs flanking the two-slat chrome grille. The front bumper is tall and gets dedicated air intake vent surrounded by round fog lamps, However the Aircross gets halogen headlamp even in the top-spec trim. At the side the car gets round wheel arches with black cladding, the SUV rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. C3 Aircross gets a wheel base of 2671 mm which is longer than creta and a 200mm ground clearance. Moreover, the tailgate has strong creases with a chunky rear bumper.

On the inside, Citroen C3 Aircross gets a black & grey themed dashboard which is equipped with 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with square shaped AC vents. The steering wheel design is Citroen-like with a seven-inch all-digital instrument cluster behind it. The Aircross gets two seating options. There will be a standard five-seat iteration along with a three-row layout with a 5+2 seating configuration. Citroen claims that the 5-seat C3 Aircross offers a 444-litre boot and the 7-seater variant gets 511 litres with the third row folded flat, the third row of the SUV gets a removable seat function. Rear AC vents are placed on the roof with the speed controller in the centre. Roof-mounted AC vents also mean there isn’t a provision for a sunroof.

Citroen C3 Aircross is powered by 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 110hp and 190Nm of torque. The Aircross will go on sale with a six-speed manual gearbox initially and no diesel engine on offer. The C3 Aircross will compete with  Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
