April 2023 saw some really exciting new car launches, there will be a lot more activity in the months ahead to come from various automakers, with numerous international debuts and price announcements planned. So, here’s a list of all new cars and SUVs that are going to be unveiled or launched in the coming months.
1. Maruti Suzuki Jimny (Expected launch – May 2023)
Possibly the most anticipated launch of the year is the Jimny. It will have a 105 horsepower, 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Prices are predicted to range from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, ex-showroom.
2. Tata Altroz CNG (Expected launch – May 2023)
The third premium hatchback from Tata Motors with a factory installed CNG kit, the Altroz CNG, is about to go on sale. With a token amount of Rs 21,000/- the automaker has already opened the bookings for Altroz CNG. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine in the Altroz CNG produces 77hp and 97Nm of torque in CNG mode. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
3. BMW X3 M40i (Expected launch – May 2023)
The X3 M40i is the performance-oriented version of the X3. It will have a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine with 360hp and 500Nm of torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission transmits power to all four wheels. The M Sport aesthetic package and performance enhancements including variable sport steering, M Sport brakes, the M Sport differential, and the adaptive M suspension will all be standard on the X3 M40i.
4. Honda midsize SUV (Global debut – June 2023)
Honda is finally going to launch a new SUV for Indian market, It will be based on fifth-gen city platform & will be only offered in petrol powertrain. Honda has confirmed that the new SUV will go on sale in mid-2023. Estimated price for the SUV is Rs 12 lakh – 19 lakh.
5. Kia Seltos Facelift (Expected launch – June/July 2023)
The SUV will receive a facelift that includes a new grille, headlamps, and updated LED DRLs that extend into the grille. A new dual-tone bumper with faux silver inlays will be added, as well as new LED taillamps that are now joined by a light bar on the rear fascia. The Seltos’ interior will have a new connected, twin-screen layout, a reworked centre console, and, most importantly, it might include an ADAS system. The existing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines will continue to function and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 160 hp and 253 Nm will be added.
6. Tata Nexon Facelift (Expected launch – August 2023)
Numerous times, test mules for the Nexon facelift have been spotted driving on public streets. The updated Nexon is expected to heavily borrow design language from the Tata Curvv Concept. It will get a larger touchscreen, a reworked central console, a new full-digital instrument cluster, and a two-spoke steering wheel from the Curvv Concept. It is expected that the Nexon facelift will be equipped with a new powerful engine.
7. Hyundai Exter (Expected launch – August 2023)
Hyundai is set to launch its new micro SUV in Indian market, expected to measure around 3.8 metres in length, the Exter will share its underpinnings with the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. Click Here to read more about the Exter.
8. Citroen C3 Aircross (Expected launch – 2023)
Citroen has recently unveiled its new SUV, the C3 Aircross. It will have a more upright stance with a completely new rear quarter and more SUV-centric design details with higher ground clearance. 9. Tata Punch CNG (Expected launch – 2023)
Following the Altroz, the next model to get a factory-fitted CNG kit from Tata Motors is the Punch. The Punch CNG was showcased at Auto Expo 2023, and like the Altroz, the Punch will also get the twin-cylinder technology and does not compromise on boot space. Tt will use the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine from the Altroz that produces 77hp and 97Nm of torque. Prices are expected to be announced in the second half of this year.
