TVS Raider 125 has been a significant success story for the company in the 125cc two-wheeler space. It has become a growth driver for TVS, similar to the NTorq. The Raider 125 was launched on September 16, 2021, and has sold 3,16,130 units in the domestic market until the end of March 2023, within just 19 months of its launch.
Out of the total 9,10,376 motorcycles sold by TVS in FY2023, the Raider 125 accounted for a 26% share, which is quite impressive for a product that’s just over a year old in the domestic market. The Raider 125 competes with several other 125cc motorcycles, including the Bajaj Pulsar 125, Pulsar NS 125, Honda SP 125 and CB Shine, and the Hero Glamour and Super Splendor. However, the Raider 125 stands out from the competition with its athletic-looking styling that includes a muscular tank, snazzy headlight, minimalist tail-lamp, and a split seat.
The sporty styling of the Raider 125 has helped it stand out from the competition. Additionally, the Raider 125 offers an impressive list of features that have drawn buyers to the product. It is one of the only two 125cc motorcycles in India that offers a monoshock, which sets it apart from its competitors. Moreover, in October 2022, the Raider 125 became the first motorcycle in its segment to offer a TFT cluster, voice recognition, and advanced connectivity tech features.
These features allow riders to access a range of information, such as speed, fuel level, and navigation, with ease. The TFT cluster also displays incoming calls, messages, and alerts, making it easier for riders to stay connected while on the go. The Raider 125 also offers Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone integration, allowing riders to access a range of apps and services, including music and navigation, with ease.
Overall, the TVS Raider 125 is a standout motorcycle in its segment, offering a unique combination of sporty styling and advanced features. The success of the Raider 125 has made it a significant contributor to TVS’s growth in the 125cc two-wheeler space.
