Ducati has launched the 2023 Panigale V4 R in India at a price of Rs 69.9 lakh ex-showroom. This high-performance motorcycle is powered by a 998cc V4 engine. The engine, known as the Desmosedici Stradale R, delivers an impressive output of 218hp at 15,500rpm and can rev up to 16,500rpm in 6th gear.

In terms of chassis, the V4 R features an aluminum front frame, manually controlled Ohlins suspension, Brembo Stylema brakes, and forged aluminum wheels. The bike weighs 193.5kg but can be reduced to 188.5kg with the race exhaust option. The bodywork includes carbon fiber wings and modified air extractors to comply with World Superbike regulations. The motorcycle showcases Ducati’s dominance in MotoGP and World Superbike with the prominent number “1” displayed on the fairing.

The Panigale V4 R incorporates various electronics enhancements, such as modified Power Modes, a new Track Evo display on the TFT dashboard, and refined traction control system. Each gear has its dedicated engine maps for optimal power delivery. Importantly, unlike other Ducati models sold in India that are imported from Thailand, the Panigale V4 R is a completely built-up (CBU) unit from Italy, justifying its premium price tag. Ducati has brought five units to India, and all have already been sold out.
