SWITCH Mobility has flagged off the first batch of EiV12mt electric intercity coaches for Prasanna Purple Mobility Solutions, marking its entry into private-sector intercity electric mobility. The rollout took place in the presence of Madhuri Misal.
Deployed on the busy Mumbai–Pune Express Corridor, the initial 10 buses are part of a 25-unit order, with deliveries planned in phases. The partnership, supported by Vertelo, signals growing adoption of electric buses for long-distance travel.
The EiV12mt coach is designed for intercity operations, offering over 300 km range, fast-charging capability and seating for 45 passengers. It also features advanced safety systems and connected tech for real-time monitoring, ensuring efficient and comfortable journeys.
With over 185 million electric kilometres logged globally, SWITCH Mobility continues to expand its footprint across city and intercity segments, driving the shift towards sustainable transport solutions in India.
