Kia India has unveiled the all-new Syros EV, its second mass-market electric vehicle, marking another significant step in the brand’s electric mobility journey. The company has also opened pre-bookings for the electric SUV at ₹25,000, with reservations available through Kia dealerships and the official website.

Positioned as a practical yet feature-rich electric SUV, the Syros EV aims to eliminate key barriers to EV adoption by offering a best-in-segment ARAI-certified range of up to 526 km, a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, an Assured Buyback programme, and flexible Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing options.

Commenting on the launch, Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO, Kia India, said the Syros EV reflects the company’s commitment to making electric mobility more accessible while addressing customer concerns around battery life, resale value and ownership costs.

Up to 526 km Certified Range

The Syros EV will be offered with two battery pack options. The larger 51.4 kWh battery delivers an ARAI-certified range of 526 km (MIDC Full), making it the first vehicle in its segment to cross the 500 km mark. A smaller 42 kWh battery offers a certified range of 443 km.

DC fast charging allows the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 39 minutes using a 100 kW charger, while battery conditioning technology optimises charging performance in varying weather conditions.

Power comes from an electric motor producing 171 PS, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds with the larger battery pack.

Built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform, the Syros EV comes loaded with premium features including:

  • 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display
