Tesla has officially unveiled the Tesla Model Y L in India, introducing a new three-row configuration aimed at family buyers. The model was showcased at the Ballard Pier Experience Centre, with online bookings now open and public display beginning April 23, 2026, across key locations.
Designed for Families, Built for Space
The Model Y L stands out with its six-seat layout, offering enhanced space, comfort, and practicality. It features second-row captain seats with ventilation, heating, powered armrests, and one-touch folding, while the third row gets power recline and dedicated climate control.
With up to 2,539 litres of cargo space and improved cabin ergonomics, Tesla is positioning the Model Y L as a versatile family EV.
Performance and Range
The Model Y L delivers a claimed range of up to 681 km (WLTP) and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. It comes equipped with adaptive suspension and electronically controlled damping to improve ride quality and handling across varying road conditions.
Tech-Loaded Cabin Experience
Tesla continues to focus on connectivity and in-car tech. The Model Y L features:
- 18-speaker premium audio system with subwoofer
- Acoustic glass for enhanced cabin insulation
- Live traffic visualisation and satellite maps
- Streaming apps including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Netflix
Price and Availability
The Model Y L is priced from ₹61.99 lakh, with deliveries scheduled to begin in June 2026 across India. Tesla is also offering financing options with monthly payments starting at ₹49,000.
Expanding Charging and Service Network
Tesla currently operates five Supercharger stations in India and plans to expand with seven additional stations across major cities and highways. The brand is also strengthening its service footprint with new centres planned in multiple cities.
