ChargeZone has partnered with Tata Passenger Electric Mobility to launch a co-branded Mega EV Charging Hub at Khalapur, located on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway.
The new facility, with a total capacity of 720 kW, is part of a larger plan to deploy over 100 Mega Charging Hubs across key national highways. It is also the 75th hub under the ChargeZone–Tata.ev collaboration, aimed at strengthening India’s intercity EV charging network.
Designed for high-speed charging, the hub features 10 charging points across five dispensers and supports ultra-fast charging of up to 360 kW in Boost Mode, allowing multiple EVs to charge simultaneously and reducing wait times during peak travel hours.
Strategically located at a popular highway stop, the hub integrates charging with a full-service travel experience, including dining, retail, and rest facilities. Tata.ev customers can also avail exclusive charging discounts at the location.
According to Kartikey Hariyani, the installation sets a new benchmark for high-power public charging infrastructure, while Vivek Srivatsa highlighted its role in enabling seamless long-distance EV travel.
The Khalapur Mega Charging Hub marks another step towards building a robust, highway-ready EV ecosystem in India.
