Maruti Suzuki is among the top sellers in the Indian Market, in fact the highest selling car manufacturer by a big margin. Some cars from this manufacturer really stand out, regardless of the volumes sold. Few cars that we think are the best from Maruti, are as follows.

1. Maruti Zen

Zen, launched in 1993, was a huge step taken by the Japanese giant in the Indian market. It was based on 4th gen Suzuki Cervo Mode. This was also a jellybean shaped car like the 800 but was a lot premium in all terms. It came with a 1.0-litre

all-aluminium engine which was much more powerful and offered better driving dynamics. Start for the Zen was quite slow but once it got pace, it came out to be favourite car among the Urban buyers for its sporty looks and refinement levels. Zen had engulfed the market by its sporty and premium appeal, it was extremely difficult to beat it. This is the reason, Zen has made to the list of 5 best cars.

2. Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The old Maruti Suzuki Baleno which was in a Sedan Avatar made into this list because of its excellent performance, good ride and handling dynamics. Suzuki Cultus Cresent which received a facelift in 1998 was launched in India as Baleno in 1999. Powering it was one of the largest engines in that time, 1.6-litre petrol motor, which produced 94 bhp of power. 3. Maruti Suzuki WagonR

Wagon R was launched in 1999 and had all aspects that an urban car buyer looks for. It gained a lot of popularity for the practicality it had to offer. It was one of the most spacious cars available. It offered ease of driving in city thanks to the all round visibility. The space and ease of getting in and out was at a different level altogether. Some customers are so loyal to WagonR that they upgrade from an old WagonR to a new one. This is rarely seen. All the generations of WagonR have sold in huge numbers including the new generation, launched recently.

4. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

The Ciaz is also one of the best cars from the Maruti Suzuki. It was brought in to replace the Baleno. Baleno was also a great car but it couldn’t make a huge impact. Ciaz is also one of the best C-segment sedans available in the market, considering the space and comfort it offers for the price. It was also launched with a 1.3-litre Fiat sourced Diesel engine and is now powered only by a 1.5-litre Petrol motor. This offers the best mileage in its segment.

5. Maruti Suzuki Swift

Swift has been the favorite hatchback of India since the date it was launched. It was first launched in 2005 with a 1.3-litre petrol motor and got instant success in the market. It came with many first in class features and was also priced well. Maruti introduced a 1.3-litre Fiat sourced diesel engine in 2007, which powered it for over a decade and has now been discontinued in 2020.
