After the commendable success of new-gen Tata cars post-Tiago, Tata Motors has now decided to enter into the market with a premium hatchback named Altroz to mainly compete with Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Honda Jazz, and Hyundai Elite i20.
It expected to launch in the festive season. The expected price for Altroz is ₹6lakhs to ₹9lakhs (ex-showroom).

Altroz will be based on the Alfa modular platform which is considerably light and offers much more safety. It will follow the IMPACT 2.0 design language as seen already on Tata Harrier and will be seen on facelifts of Tiago, Tigor, and Nexon in the following months.
It will be based on the 45X concept showcased at Auto Expo 2018. It was showcased at the Geneva Motor show 2019.

Various Safety features like ABS-EBD, dual front airbags, speed alert system, speed-sensing door locks will be standard, following the new norms under BNVSAP ( Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program).
