Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the highly anticipated Jimny off-roader, offering adventure enthusiasts a thrilling and versatile SUV experience. The 5-door Jimny is available in Zeta and Alpha variants, with both manual and automatic transmission options. Priced at INR 1,274,000, the Jimny embodies NEXA’s design philosophy of ‘Crafted Futurism’ and showcases NEXpression, NEXtech, and NEXperience. The Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, expressed excitement about introducing the legendary Jimny to the Indian market, emphasizing its timeless design, exceptional off-road capabilities, and the #NeverTurnBack spirit. He also highlighted India’s role as the mother plant for the 5-door Jimny, showcasing Suzuki’s commitment to Make-In-India for the world.

The Jimny features a functional design with a body-on-frame construction, providing a solid and confident driving experience. Its squared body proportions enhance visibility, and the LED projector headlamps ensure clear visibility in challenging conditions. The interior is designed with minimalistic elements to minimize distractions and maximize driver focus. The dashboard and center console enhance the driver’s awareness of the vehicle’s angle on uneven surfaces. The Jimny offers ample boot space with a wide rear opening for easy loading and unloading of luggage.

The Jimny is equipped with a single 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 105 horsepower and 134Nm of torque. It is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Maruti claims a fuel efficiency of 16.94 kilometers per liter for the manual variant and 16.39 kilometers per liter for the automatic variant.

Jimny

Known for its off-roading capabilities, the Jimny combines strength and agility. With features like ample body angles, 3-link rigid axle suspension, ladder frame chassis, and ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) technology, it instills confidence in the driver. The ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) system allows seamless shifting between 2H two-wheel drive and 4H four-wheel drive, providing adaptability on adventurous terrain. The Jimny’s 1.5L K-series engine delivers optimal performance, and options for manual and automatic transmissions offer a seamless driving experience with impressive fuel efficiency.

The Jimny prioritizes safety, featuring standard features like six airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, ESP, and Hill Hold Control. It is built on Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) platform, ensuring superior safety performance. To enhance the off-roading experience, customers can choose from two accessory packages, the Summit Seeker collection and the Adventure Lifestyle collection, which offer additional features and accessories.

Jimny

The Jimny is set to compete in the growing segment of lifestyle off-roaders in India. It will face competition from vehicles like the Mahindra Thar and the Force Gurkha. The Jimny’s bookings have already exceeded 30,000 and deliveries will begin in mid-June. Here is the price list of Jimny
