Koenigsegg has recently broken the world record for the 0-400-0 kph sprint using their plug-in hybrid model, the Regera. This achievement comes shortly after the Rimac Nevera set multiple records, including the 0-400-0 kph run. The Koenigsegg Regera completed the sprint in 28.81 seconds, surpassing the Rimac Nevera’s previous record of 29.93 seconds, which was set in May. Additionally, it set a new record for the 0-250-0 mph run, completing it in 29.60 seconds. The measurements and verification were conducted by RACELOGIC.

Priced at $2 million (approximately Rs 16.4 crore), the Koenigsegg Regera is equipped with a V8 engine and three electric motors, delivering a combined power output of 1,500hp when using premium E85 fuel. It also features the Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD) system, which reduces energy losses by up to 50% compared to conventional transmissions and continuously variable transmissions (CVTs)
