Kia India has released teasers for the Seltos facelift ahead of its debut in India on July 4. The prices for the facelifted version are expected to be announced by late July 2023. The Seltos facelift will offer three engine options and is expected to come with more features, including an ADAS suite. It is set to go on sale by the end of July 2023.

The official teaser reveals some details about the Seltos facelift. The front styling features a slightly different bumper design, more body cladding, and additional body-colored inserts in the foglamp housing compared to the international model. The headlights have been redesigned and now include new LED daytime running lamps. On the sides, there aren’t major changes, but certain variants will have fresh designs for their alloy wheels. The rear of the India-bound Seltos will have unique styling with a different bumper design than the international model. There will also be more cosmetic tweaks at the back, depending on the variant. The tail-lamps are new and extend vertically downwards, similar to newer Kia models. This tail-lamp design is expected to be seen on the India-bound Sonet facelift and the facelifted new-gen Carnival MPV as well.

The interior of the India-spec Seltos will feature an all-new dashboard design. Some of the expected features include a panoramic sunroof, a twin-screen setup with a curved display, an ADAS suite, dual-zone climate control, and an updated infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of powertrain options, the Seltos facelift will continue to offer the 115hp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. Additionally, a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 160hp and 253Nm of torque will be introduced as a replacement for the discontinued 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Once the prices are announced, the Kia Seltos facelift will compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, and the upcoming Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross. The updated Seltos is expected to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model.
