MG Hector Plus
MG Motors is soon going to launch a 7 seater variant of the Hector to meet the demand of the customers asking for a 6-7 seater SUVs in its price segment.
Hector has given a tough competition to its main rival, the Tata Harrier. With the list of features it offers, other cars in the segment are finding it hard to compete.
Hector Plus is expected to be launched in July 2020 at a premium of around ₹1 Lakh over its 5-seater sibling.

Design
In terms of looks, the Hector Plus will also look very similar to the 5 seater Hector. However, it will get some tweaks to differentiate it. In terms of dimensions on paper, it will be slightly longer than the 5 seater Hector to create room for the 3rd row of seats, height and width will however remain similar.
A new front grille will be in place. It will continue to get split Headlamps setup, with LED DRLs at the top and LED Head lights with fog lamps at the bottom. On the side, design remains plain and simple. It gets a floating roof design. At rear, it gets a continuous taillamp setup with LED taillights.
Features
Hector Plus will also get loads of feature on offer like the 5-seater Hector. For starters, it will get a Panoramic Sunroof, Automatic Climate Control, Rear AC vents, 360 degree parking camera with front & rear parking sensors, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system,Keyless Start/Stop and a huge 10 inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
It will also get various connected car features like remote AC Control, remote Sunroof Open/Close, Geo Fencing, etc. which can be used with a mobile application.
Comfort and Convenience
It will get a 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel, driver armrest, tilt and telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel, steering mounted audio controls, etc.
Safety
In terms of safety, it will get dual front airbags and ABS+EBD, seat belt warning, brake assist, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold Control, Traction Control System, speed-sensing door locks as standard. The top variant will also get 6 Airbags.
Engine
Engine options will remain the same as the 5-seater Hector. It will get 2.0-litre Fiat-sourced Diesel engine mated to a 6 Manual Transmission. It produces 170PS of power and 350NM of torque. It will also get a 1.5l Turbocharged Petrol motor churning out 141PS of power and 250NM of torque, it will be mated to 6 speed manual and a 6 speed DCT. The 48V mild hybrid system will also be offered with the petrol engine.
Pricing
Hector Plus will be priced at around a premium if ₹1 lakh over the 5 seater Hector. It is expected to be priced at ₹14 lakhs going up to ₹18 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
It will compete against the upcoming Tata Gravitas and Mahindra XUV500
