Speaking of sedans, the first thing comes to anyone’s mind is Honda City. It has been best seller in each generation that it has been launched in. It is also the oldest brand in the C segment that is still on sale. Honda is soon going to launch the 5th generation of the Honda City . There will be many changes on the exterior as well the interiors. Let us have a look at what all will the new Honda City offer.
Design

In terms of design, it will follow the design language similar to that of the new Honda Civic. At the front, sharp LED Headlamps can be seen with a huge chrome grille. The profile looks quiet similar. The rear end looks a bit lifted up, it gets a new tail lamp design, which seems inspired from the BMW 3-Series and a new and fresh bumper design. The new City is going to be larger than the outgoing model in terms of dimensions. It will be longer and wider.
Features
The City will continue to be a feature loaded sedan like the current spec. It will get all the basic features, namely, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, 7-inch touchscreen with Smartphone Connectivity. The dashboard will continue to follow a minimalistic design. Interiors will be a Black and Beige combination.
Safety
In terms of safety, it will get dual airbags, ABS+EBD as standard. Higher trim will also get 6 Airbags as an option. The Thailand spec of the Honda City was recently crash tested by the ASEAN NCAP and it received a score of 5 stars. However, it is not confirmed yet that Indian Spec will be same as the Thai spec.
Engine and Transmission
City will continue to be offered with the enthusiast’s favourite 1.5-litre i-vtec motor with greater power. The motor will now produce 121PS of power. Torque figures remain unchanged at 145Nm. The motor will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT.
