Hyundai has launched the new Verna for the Indian Market. Verna has been one of the most successful vehicles from Hyundai. Hyundai calls the new Verna as “The Spirited New Verna.” Highlights of the New Verna include Connected Car features and various other first in segment features.

Prices start at Rs. 9.30 lakhs and goes up till Rs. 15.1 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Design

The new Verna gets a bold and premium design. On the front it gets a large blackened grille which gives it a bolder look. It gets LED headlamps with LED DRLs and tail lamps. On the side it gets 16 inch Dual Tone diamond cut alloy wheels. Turbo GDI variant gets many more cosmetic changes on the outside to differentiate it from other models. At the rear, a continuous tail lamp design can be seen. A LED strip connects the two tail lamps on either side giving it a plush and futuristic look. It gets a sporty rear bumper with twin exhaust adding to its sporty appeal.

Features

Like all other vehicles from Hyundai, New Verna is also loaded with features to the brim. It gets many first in segment features like Ventilated Seats, digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charger and smart trunk. Other features include Automatic Headlamps, rain sensing wipers, Automatic Climate Control, tyre pressure monitoring system, cornering headlights and rear AC Vents.

It gets an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink connected car features as seen on Venue and Creta already. Connected car features include Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Engine ON/OFF (Only for AT variants) Geo Fencing, Find My Car, Remote AC ON/OFF Emergency Call, Vehicle Checkup and Diagnosis.

Safety

Safety features include 6 Airbags, Child Seat Anchor Points, Seat Belt Warning, ABS-EBD, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold Control, Traction Control, Engine Immobilizer, Central Locking, Speed Sensing Door Lock and Child Safety Lock.

Engine

Powertrain options include 1.0l Turbo Petrol motor, 1.5l naturally aspirated Petrol and a 1.5l Turbo Diesel motor. 1.0l Turbo Petrol motor is mated to a 7 Speed DCT, 1.5l Petrol motor is mated to a 6 Speed MT and a CVT gearbox. The diesel engine gets a 6 Speed MT and Torque converter Transmission.

New Verna also gets options for warranty which includes 3 yrs/ unlimited kms or 4 yrs/60,000kms or 5 yrs/50,000kms.
