Maruti has updated its entry-level offering – Alto 800 at Rs. 2.94 lakh for the base Std. variant, The LXi variant is priced at Rs. 3.50 lakhs and VXi for Rs. 3.72 lakhs . It comes with enhanced safety equipment as standard.
What are the changes?
Exterior
The 2019 Maruti Alto 800 gets a new-look front-end. This features a new larger grille The headlamps though are the same. The fog lamp housing has also been changed.
The front bumper has a new lower grille with a honeycomb structure The rear sees no change and is identical to the outgoing model. The ‘800’ moniker has been dropped from the badging, which now reads only ‘Alto’. The 12-inch steel wheels continue to be offered.

Interior
The 2019 Maruti Alto 800 now share its dashboard with the Alto K10. It has a two-tone beige and grey colour theme. The instrument cluster is borrowed from the K10 as well, as also the steering wheel . The 2019 Maruti Alto 800 gets a driver airbag as standard/
What has not changed?
The engine and transmission remain the same, except that it is now BS-VI compliant.
It is the same three-cylinder, 796cc petrol engine which produces 48bhp and 69Nm of torque . A five-speed manual gearbox does duty here, there is no AMT offered. As per Maruti, the Alto 800’s Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions have dropped by 25 percent.
2019 Maruti Alto 800 Mileage
The 2019 Alto 800 facelift’s fuel efficiency is claimed at 22.05km/l, which is lower than the outgoing version’s 24.7 km/l.
