Hero MotoCorp
has introduced the all-new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 in India, bringing a significant update to one of the country’s most trusted commuter motorcycles. Priced at Rs 86,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the latest iteration of the Super Splendor combines modern styling, enhanced technology and improved fuel efficiency to cater to evolving commuter demands.

Built on the long-standing legacy of the Splendor brand that has been serving Indian riders since 1994, the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 aims to offer a more premium and connected riding experience while retaining the practicality and reliability the nameplate is known for.

Speaking at the launch, Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer, India Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, said the new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 carries forward the brand’s promise of trust, performance and everyday reliability with contemporary styling, advanced technology and enhanced convenience features.

Refreshed Styling and Premium Touches

The new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 receives a refreshed design language featuring dual-tone graphics, updated bodywork and distinctive XTEC 2.0 badging. Hero has also added premium detailing such as a 3D emblem, stitched dual-textured seat and rim tapes to enhance its road presence.

The motorcycle will be offered in five colour options:

  • Glossy Black
  • Candy Blazing Red
  • Matt Axis Grey
  • Matt Nexus Blue
  • Matt Chestnut Brown

124.7cc Engine with Claimed 72 kmpl Mileage

Powering the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 is a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine producing 10.7 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with Hero’s Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection (APFI) technology and the brand’s i3S idle stop-start system.

Hero MotoCorp claims a best-in-class fuel efficiency figure of 72 kmpl for the new commuter motorcycle. The addition of an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) also enables quieter engine starts and seamless restart functionality during stop-go traffic conditions.

Segment-First Safety Features

The updated commuter motorcycle introduces segment-first hazard lights within the Super Splendor lineup, allowing riders to activate all four indicators simultaneously during emergencies or breakdown situations.

Other safety and convenience features include:

  • Front disc brake
  • Handlebar-mounted engine kill switch
  • Telescopic front suspension
  • Wide rear grab rail for pillion support

Bluetooth Connectivity and Digital Console

One of the biggest upgrades on the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 is the fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The console supports:

  • Incoming call alerts
  • SMS notifications
  • Missed call alerts
  • Caller ID display
  • Phone battery status

The motorcycle also gets Hero’s Real Time Mileage Indicator (RTMi), low fuel indicator and a 2 Amp USB Type-C charging port for added practicality during daily commutes.

Focus on Rider Comfort

Hero MotoCorp has designed the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 with commuter comfort in mind. The motorcycle features a relaxed upright riding posture, wide handlebars and a long seat for improved comfort during long rides and city traffic conditions.

With updated styling, connected technology and improved fuel efficiency, the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 further strengthens Hero MotoCorp’s position in the highly competitive 125cc commuter motorcycle segment in India.
