Bajaj Auto Ltd. has announced a significant price reduction for its popular touring motorcycle, the Dominar 400, making it more accessible to Indian riders. The motorcycle is now priced at ₹2,03,214 (ex-showroom Delhi), nearly ₹37,000 lower than before.
The revised pricing comes alongside a key update — the engine has been resized to 350cc. This strategic move allows Bajaj to pass on the benefits of a lower 18% GST bracket to customers, reducing the overall cost of ownership.

Despite the change in engine capacity, Bajaj claims that the new Dominar 400 retains its signature performance, power delivery, and long-distance touring capabilities. The motorcycle continues to offer a strong blend of comfort, endurance, and versatility, making it suitable for both daily commutes and extended rides.
The Dominar lineup has long been associated with Bajaj’s touring DNA, and this update reinforces the brand’s focus on making sports touring more accessible. The company aims to attract a wider audience of enthusiasts by lowering entry barriers without compromising on the riding experience.

Commenting on the update, Sarang Kanade, President of Bajaj Auto’s Motorcycle Business Unit, stated that the Dominar continues to stand for power and long-distance capability. He emphasized that the new pricing and engine strategy are aimed at democratizing touring and sports motorcycling in India.
With this move, Bajaj Auto is positioning the Dominar 400 as a more value-driven offering in the mid-capacity touring segment, appealing to both new and experienced riders seeking performance at a competitive price point.
