Italian performance brand Aprilia Racing has revealed one of its most extreme track-only motorcycles yet – the Aprilia X 250TH. Built using technology derived directly from MotoGP, the motorcycle will be limited to just 30 units globally, making it one of the rarest Aprilia motorcycles ever produced.
The model was unveiled during the United States Grand Prix and commemorates the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence. Out of the total production, 25 units will be reserved for the US market, while only five units will be available globally.
Aprilia X 250TH Engine, Power and Performance
The Aprilia X 250TH is powered by a race-derived 1099cc V4 engine producing a massive 240hp and 131Nm, placing it among the most powerful track motorcycles ever built by the brand.
Key performance figures:

The performance upgrades include a higher compression ratio, a racing air intake system, a MotoGP-spec air filter and a dry racing clutch.
First Production Bike With MotoGP Carbon Brakes
One of the biggest highlights of the X 250TH is its MotoGP-derived carbon-carbon braking system from Brembo.
Braking highlights:
- 340mm carbon brake discs
- Carbon brake pads
- Billet aluminium racing callipers
- Reduced rotational mass
- Improved braking consistency
The system is significantly lighter than conventional steel braking systems and is designed to deliver race-level braking performance.
Advanced MotoGP Aerodynamics Package
The X 250TH features an extensive aerodynamic package inspired by the Aprilia RS-GP race bike.
Aero highlights include:
- MotoGP-style seat wings
- Tail wings from RS-GP25
- Carbon front winglets
- Ground effect side fairings

- Rear stability wing
These aerodynamic additions improve stability during braking, reduce wheelies and increase grip during cornering.
Electronics and Racing Hardware
The electronics package is based on Aprilia’s APX racing ECU, which allows detailed tuning of performance parameters.
Electronics features:
- Adjustable traction control
- Engine brake control
- Power maps per gear
- Wheelie control
- GPS telemetry system
The bike also gets premium racing hardware, including Öhlins suspension, forged magnesium wheels from Marchesini and World Superbike slick tyres from Pirelli.

Part of Aprilia’s Exclusive X Programme
The X 250TH becomes the sixth motorcycle in Aprilia’s ultra-exclusive X series, which began with the Aprilia RSV4 X in 2019.
According to Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola, the X series represents the closest possible connection between a MotoGP prototype and a customer-owned motorcycle.
Technical Director Fabiano Sterlacchini highlighted the advanced braking technology as one of the most significant innovations on the motorcycle, bringing MotoGP-level braking capability to a customer track machine.
