Zingbus, India’s leading intercity travel platform, has rolled out its zingbus Plus Electric service, setting a new benchmark in sustainable, premium intercity mobility. The service debuts on the Delhi–Dehradun route, a corridor deeply tied to the brand’s journey, offering a seamless blend of comfort, technology, and eco-conscious travel.
The initiative comes at a pivotal time, as India is pushing toward the adoption of clean energy in mobility. By introducing electric buses, zingbus aims to deliver lower CO₂ emissions, reduced dependence on petroleum, and long-term cost efficiency compared to diesel fleets.
Premium Experience, Now Electric
zingbus Plus Electric retains the hallmarks of the Plus brand — spacious seating, trained crew, digital-first booking, and robust safety protocols — now powered by a sustainable backbone. In partnership with Jio-bp, Zingbus is also strengthening India’s intercity EV charging ecosystem.
Prashant Kumar, Co-founder of Zingbus, said:
“Electric is the future of intercity mobility in India. Our goal is to build the right operating system to enable operators and partners to steadily transition into EVs. With our platform, we can deploy India’s largest intercity electric fleet while ensuring sustainable and profitable growth for all stakeholders.”

Vision for 2030
Zingbus has set an ambitious target of deploying 3,000 electric buses by 2030, empowering small and medium fleet operators to adopt EVs without the risks of high upfront investment. By acting as an enabler rather than building its own fleet, the company provides data-driven insights, technology support, and step-by-step guidance for operators to transition smoothly.
Affordable, Safe & Seamless Travel
For travelers, the service offers zero-emission journeys at accessible fares, with zingbus Pass users able to ride the Delhi–Dehradun electric service for just ₹299. The package includes free travel insurance, flexible scheduling, passenger-first services, and round-the-clock customer support. Each bus is engineered for long-range performance per charge and optimized charging cycles to ensure minimal downtime.
The Road Ahead
After successful trials, zingbus plans to expand quickly, targeting 70 electric buses across North and South India within the next 12 months. With comfort, sustainability, and reliability at its core, zingbus Plus Electric marks a transformative step toward reshaping intercity travel in India.
