SWITCH Mobility, the electric vehicle arm of the Hinduja Group, has flagged off the first batch of its SWITCH EiV12 low-floor electric city buses for the Department of Transport, Delhi. Part of a landmark 950-unit order awarded under the CESL tender, the rollout marks a major milestone in the capital’s transition to sustainable public transport.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt graced the event. Rekha Gupta, along with key dignitaries including Dr. Pankaj Singh, Transport Minister, Sh. Manoj Tiwari, MP (North East Delhi), and Ms. Niharika Rai, Commissioner, Department of Transport, among others.
Manufactured at SWITCH Mobility’s state-of-the-art facility, the EiV12 buses bring together global EV technology with Indian manufacturing excellence under the brand’s ‘Make in India for the World’ vision.

The 12-meter ultra-low-floor EiV12 is tailored to the city’s demanding transit conditions, offering:

Smart Mobility with SWITCH iON
The buses are powered by SWITCH iON, the company’s proprietary telematics suite, enabling real-time vehicle health monitoring, Intelligent Transportation Management System (ITMS), and efficient fleet management.
