Ather Energy Expands International Footprint with 2025 Ather 450X Launch in Sri Lanka
Ather Energy, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has officially launched the 2025 Ather 450X in Sri Lanka, further strengthening its international presence. This marks the company’s second global market after Nepal, underscoring Ather’s commitment to expanding its footprint beyond India.
Ather made its Sri Lankan debut in December 2024 with the 450X, which received an encouraging response from local customers. Building on that momentum, Ather has now established 19 Experience Centres across the country in partnership with its national distributor, Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd. The company has also invested in building EV charging infrastructure to support seamless ownership and enhance accessibility.
Speaking on the launch, Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said:

Encouraged by this, we accelerated our expansion and now operate 19 stores across the country. The new 2025 Ather 450X is designed to deliver performance, reliability, and quality—perfectly suited to Sri Lanka’s terrain and riding conditions.”
The 2025 Ather 450X brings key upgrades tailored for diverse riding environments. It features a multi-mode traction control system with Rain, Road, and Rally modes, allowing riders to adapt to varying road conditions. Enhancements also include an improved TrueRange™ and newly developed multi-compound tyres, created in collaboration with MRF, for better grip, efficiency, and durability.
Ather’s global journey began in November 2023, when it entered Nepal. The company now operates 9 Experience Centres there, alongside recently launching its family scooter, the Ather Rizta. Back home in India, Ather boasts a robust network of 446 Experience Centres and nearly 4,000 charging points, including Ather Grid fast chargers and Neighbourhood Chargers.
With Sri Lanka now firmly part of its international expansion, Ather Energy is positioning itself as one of the most ambitious and innovative electric mobility brands from India.
