Tata has been doing an incredible job with it’s fresh offerings in the market, and is soon also expected to launch a new product to compete in the Micro SUV segment. The HBX will be placed above the Tiago in the company’s portfolio.
The near production concept of the Tata HBX was showcased at the AutoExpo 2020. Like all other Tata Cars, it is also expected to retain 97% of the design elements. Testing mules of the HBX have been spotted and the is likely to get launched later this year or in early 2021.
Tata HBX Design
Tata HBX will also be based on ALFA platform like the Altroz and will follow the IMPACT 2.0 design language like the Harrier, Altroz and the facelifts of Nexon, Tiago and Tigor. An adventure variant of the HBX was shown at the AutoExpo which shall not be launched immediately. A practical compact SUV, with on-road tyres and without a roof luggage carrier is the one we shall see on the roads.
Upfront, it will get a split Headlamp setup with LED DRLs and fog lights. It will get halogen projectors and conventional bulbs for the fog lights. At the sides, it gets wheel arches which give it a macho and muscular look. It is expected to ride on 16 inch dual-tone alloys. Another bit to notice is that it will also get hidden rear door handle like the Altroz. At the rear, it gets a dual-tone bumper enhancing its SUVish look. It might also get LED Tail lamps along with high mounted stop light. It also gets a floating roof design.
