
Škoda Auto India has continued its strong growth trajectory by recording its highest-ever first-half sales, retailing 38,894 vehicles in H1 2026, a 7.5% increase over the corresponding period last year.
The achievement builds on the brand’s record-breaking performance in 2025, further strengthening its position in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
According to Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, the company’s sustained growth has been driven by an expanded product portfolio, customer-centric initiatives, and a focus on delivering a premium ownership experience.
The recently launched Kushaq, updated Kodiaq, and performance-oriented Kodiaq RS have received a strong market response, with the Kodiaq RS selling out within minutes of bookings opening. Meanwhile, the Kylaq continues to contribute significantly to overall volumes, while the Slavia remains a key player in the premium sedan segment.
Expanding Customer Reach
Škoda Auto India has also expanded its retail footprint to over 340 customer touchpoints across the country. The introduction of Škoda Express Care further enhances after-sales support by offering faster, more transparent, and convenient service experiences.
Motorsport Heritage Drives Brand Image
Reinforcing its performance-focused brand identity, Škoda recently entered the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records by setting the Fastest Multi-Car Relay by a Single Manufacturer on a Circuit.
The relay featured the Slavia Monte Carlo, Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq, and Octavia RS, completing the challenge at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore with a combined lap time of 12 minutes 30.97 seconds, further highlighting the brand’s engineering and motorsport pedigree.
With record sales, an expanding dealer network, and a growing product lineup, Škoda Auto India continues to build strong momentum as it targets sustained growth in the Indian automotive market.
