The BMW M4 Competition receives a series of enhancements aimed at maintaining its competitiveness in the sports car segment. With boosted engine performance and added features, the facelifted M4 promises an exhilarating driving experience.

Power Boost and Styling Updates:
The M4 facelift sees an increase in engine output, with the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six now delivering 530hp, up from 510hp. Despite the power boost, torque remains unchanged at 650Nm. Visually, the updated M4 showcases new lighting elements at both ends, including rear lights featuring glassfibre bundle technology inspired by the limited-run M4 CSL.

Shift to Four-Wheel Drive:
Notably, the M4 facelift discontinues the rear-wheel-drive variant, making the four-wheel-drive xDrive version the sole option. This configuration allows torque to be sent exclusively to the rear wheels, particularly when stability control is deactivated. Despite the power increase, the M4’s on-paper performance remains consistent, with BMW claiming 0-100kph sprint times of 3.5 seconds for the coupé and 3.7 seconds for the cabriolet.

Interior Enhancements:
Inside, the M4 retains its signature dual-screen infotainment and instrumentation displays, now updated to software version 8.5 for enhanced functionality. Notable improvements include upgraded voice controls for climate functions and extended ambient lighting options, offering nine colors that dynamically respond to various stimuli.

India Launch Expectations:
Enthusiasts can anticipate the arrival of the updated BMW M4 lineup in India later this year, bringing the latest advancements in performance and technology to the discerning automotive market.
