Mercedes-Benz Introduces CLA 200 Standard Range as Bookings Open for CLA Electric in India

Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has announced the introduction of a new CLA 200 ‘Standard Range’ variant for the upcoming launch of the all-new electric Mercedes-Benz CLA in India. The new variant will join the CLA 250+ ‘Long Range’ version that will debut in the Indian market.

The addition of the CLA 200 ‘Standard Range’ is aimed at offering customers greater flexibility in terms of range and styling preferences, while expanding the appeal of the brand’s latest electric sedan.

Styling and Features

The CLA 200 ‘Standard Range’ will feature the ‘Progressive Line’ design package, which includes comfort seats, a multifunction sports leather steering wheel, and two interior trim options.

Despite the new entry-level variant, Mercedes-Benz confirmed that equipment levels across both variants will remain identical, reinforcing the company’s strategy of offering high product substance and advanced technology as standard for customers in India.

Bookings Now Open

Mercedes-Benz India has also opened bookings for the CLA BEV starting today, with customers able to reserve the vehicle with a booking amount of ₹1.5 lakh.

Customers who pre-book the electric sedan will also receive a complimentary wall box charger installation, enhancing convenience for home charging.

Range and Deliveries

The newly announced CLA 200 ‘Standard Range’ variant is expected to deliver a driving range of up to 542 km, addressing feedback from customers who sought an additional option alongside the CLA 250+ ‘Long Range’ model.

Deliveries for the CLA 250+ Long Range are scheduled to begin from the end of April, while deliveries of the CLA 200 Standard Range will commence from June.

With the launch of the new CLA electric lineup, Mercedes-Benz continues to expand its electric vehicle portfolio in India, targeting customers seeking a blend of luxury, technology, and long-range electric mobility.
