Kia India has introduced the manual gearbox option for the Seltos diesel, starting at a price of Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). This addition expands the choices in the refreshed Seltos lineup, which now includes manual, iMT, torque converter automatic, CVT automatic (IVT), and DCT automatic gearbox options, depending on the selected engine.

The Seltos diesel-MT is priced from Rs 12 lakh and is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. Notably, the GT Line and X-Line variants do not offer the diesel-MT option. The move to reintroduce the manual option was driven by the aim to boost sales, especially considering the competitive market where the rival Creta recently introduced a diesel-manual variant.

Powered by the same 116hp, 1.5-litre engine found in various Kia and Hyundai models, including the Creta, the Seltos diesel-MT retains the features present in its automatic counterparts. These include a panoramic sunroof, ADAS bundle, six airbags, 360-degree cameras, dual-zone climate control, heads-up display, two 10.25-inch screens, and a Bose-tuned 8-speaker music system.

Available in HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+ variants, the top-spec Seltos diesel-MT is priced at Rs 18.28 lakh. This is slightly lower than the top-spec Creta diesel-MT, priced at Rs 18.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia has achieved significant success with the facelifted Seltos, selling over 65,000 units since its launch in July last year. Bookings for the Seltos diesel-MT are currently open, and deliveries are expected to commence next month.
