Hyundai has recently introduced the i20 facelift in the Indian market, with prices ranging from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 11.01 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This updated version of the i20 showcases refreshed front and rear-end designs, a new interior color scheme, and some additional features. It is now exclusively available with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

In terms of design updates, the i20 facelift features revised front and rear bumpers, with the front grille adopting a new design and a prominent black surround connecting it to the headlamps. The top-spec trim comes equipped with full LED headlamps featuring updated LED daytime running lamp signatures. The Hyundai logo has also been repositioned to the base of the bonnet with a new 2D design. The front bumper incorporates two large arrow-shaped inlets but no longer includes fog lamps. The rear showcases a revised bumper with a prominent dual-tone finish, relocated reflectors, and a faux-silver skid plate.

The i20 facelift introduces a new Amazon Grey paint option alongside the existing color choices. Inside the cabin, there are minor changes, including a new dual-tone black and grey finish for the dashboard and semi-leatherette seat upholstery on the top-tier trim. The interior now feels more spacious compared to the previous all-black design. Hyundai has also replaced the volume control, adding a physical knob at the base of the touchscreen. Additional features include ambient lighting, leatherette padding on the door armrests, puddle lamps with a welcome function, and Hyundai’s ‘Sounds of Nature’ feature. The car continues to offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen, all-digital instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, a Bose sound system, wireless phone charging, a sunroof, automatic climate control, a wide range of connected features, OTA updates, voice commands, and Type-C charging ports.

Safety features are standard, including six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, hill assist control, three-point seatbelts, and reminders for all seats. It also comes with a reverse parking camera, TPMS, and automatic headlamps with an escort function. Hyundai offers a three-year/1,00,000km warranty with the option for extended coverage.

The i20 facelift is now powered solely by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission. It delivers 83hp with the manual transmission and 88hp with the CVT, along with 115Nm of peak torque. Notably, Hyundai has discontinued the 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from the regular i20 lineup, reserving it for the i20 N Line facelift, a performance-oriented model with a pending launch date. The diesel engine was discontinued earlier during the transition to BS6 Phase II emission norms.
