Ford India has launched the Ford EcoSport SE variant in India at a starting price of Rs. 10.49 Lakh (ex-showroom). Ford EcoSport SE variant sits below the top model S with Rs. 50,000 less. The most visual change you’ll notice is the tail spare wheel which has been replaced with a chrome slat and number plate below it.

It’s available in 1.5-litre petrol and diesel options and is paired to 5-speed manual gearbox. Other distinctive changes we see is the dual-tone rear bumper with silver applique.
Here is the price list of Ford EcoSport.

The biggest element in the SE is the axing of the tail-mounted spare wheel. In place of that, it gets a chrome slat and number plate below it. It also gets a new dual-tone rear bumper. Ford India is also offering a puncture repair kit with the SE variant as it does not have a spare wheel. In terms of design, it looks pretty similar to the top-spec S.
Other than ISOFIX mounts, sport alloy pedals, a cabin shade and a cargo area management system it gets everything that is included in the top model.

SE variant sitting below S variant, it still gets all features like 8-inch SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, illuminated glove box, an electric sunroof, footwell ambient lighting as well as Ford MyKey and FordPass connected car tech.
Ford EcoSport SE gets 1.5-litre petrol and diesel options which pumps out 122Ps and 100Ps of power respectively. It gets a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and an automatic option is available only in titanium+ petrol variant.
This new variant will be the last update to EcoSport before its successor arrives. It will still continue to compete with Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite
