Hyundai Verna has been one of the most consistent cars in terms of sales and customer satisfaction. It has delivered good sales figures across generations. The new generation is expected to further boost up the sales.

2020 Hyundai Verna made its global debut at the Chengdu Motorshow in China. It will be getting a lot of changes in interiors as well as exteriors. The design has become even more fluidic. The front has become even bolder and sharper with a huge Lexus styled grille and sleek headlamps and fog lamps setup. Changes would be seen under the hood also. The new powertrain would be BSVI compliant.

At the rear, a continuous taillamp design can be seen. A LED strip connects the two tail lamps on either side giving it a plush and futuristic look. The bumper also sports haux diffuser and vertical reflectors. It will be 25mm longer than the outgoing model.

Verna has always been a feature-loaded car. A facelift update on the feature list is also expected. The main change on the inside includes a huge 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system sporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It will also get an embedded SIM for internet-connected features as seen in Venue already.

In India, it will get new engines that are currently seen on Kia Seltos. However, to comply with various laws, engines will be detuned. Power output from 1.5l Diesel motor might be reduced from 128PS to 115PS and 260NM to 250NM. Petrol motor could also sport a 48V hybrid option.
