Ola introduces a fresh variant of its popular S1 model, the S1 X, featuring a sizable 4kWh battery pack, priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). With a claimed IDC range of 190km, just 5km shy of the S1 Pro Gen 2’s 195km range, this new variant promises extended riding capabilities.

Expanded Lineup and Enhanced Charging Infrastructure
The S1 lineup now offers more choices, with the S1 priced at Rs 79,999 for the 2kWh version and Rs 89,999 for the 3kWh version. The mechanically identical S1 X 4kWh variant ensures continuity in performance and features. Ola’s ambitious plan to install 10,000 fast-chargers across India by the next quarter aims to provide convenient charging solutions for electric vehicle users nationwide.

Seamless Integration and Competitive Pricing
Maintaining consistency with other variants, the S1 X 4kWh retains the same styling, features, and dimensions, differing only in weight. Weighing in at 112kg, it’s 4kg heavier than its 3kWh counterpart. Despite its enhanced capabilities, the S1 X 4kWh remains competitively priced at Rs 1.10 lakh, positioning it squarely against competitors like the Ather 450S and offering affordability compared to alternatives like the Bajaj Chetak Urbane and base TVS iQube.

Commitment to Customer Satisfaction
During the launch event, founder and MD Bhavish Aggarwal unveiled plans to establish 600 service centers by April and significantly expand the charging network to 10,000 fast-charging points, a substantial increase from the current 1,000 stations. Additionally, every new S1 e-scooter purchase will come with an 8-year/80,000km battery warranty at no extra cost. Customers also have the option to extend their warranty for added peace of mind, with extensions available up to 1.25 lakh kilometers for an additional fee.
