No other motorcycle brand has created as much buzz in recent times as Jawa. Launched last year, the Jawa and Jawa 42 soon became a favourite for many buyers. After initial supply struggles, the company has final increased production and is meeting customer demands in a better way. It has also launched the Jawa Perak, a factory-custom bobber design.

Jawa is now working on a scrambler, based on the Jawa 42. While there have been renderings and some customisations of the Jawa in the aftermarket, finally, it is learnt from our sources that Jawa is developing a scrambler as well as an adventure version of the motorcycle. These two new models are slated to be launched in 2021, along with the Jawa model year upgrade.

Jawa Scrambler Design

The Jawa Scrambler shall be based on the Jawa 42. The tank and panels are expected to be the same, however, it shall get a new seat. The bike shall be raised, especially from the rear. The mudguard design would be new as well. A new wider and taller handlebar shall do duty here. Instrumentation is expected to be similar to the 42, which is basic. The twin exhausts shall also be angled upwards, towards the rear.

Jawa Adventure

With the liking for adventure motorcycles on a growing curve, Jawa would like to make use of this opportunity. The Adventure version will compete with the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan and shall get dual purpose tyres, a new taller suspension set up, larger wheels and a raised handlebar. A higher ground clearance shall therefore be achieved. Not much is yet known about this motorcycle, but we shall update you with more details later. The instrumentation on this motorcycle is expected to be upgraded. An analogue/digital instrument maybe offered.

Jawa Scrambler Specifications

The Jawa Scrambler and Adventure will share the same engine which is a 293cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, single cylinder engine. This motor will churn out 27 bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque, which might be tweaked on both bikes differently. The gearbox will be the same six-speed unit. This engine is a pretty powerful one and capable of long hours of riding, due to it being liquid cooled. The refinement and performance of these engines are good and they are quite fuel efficient too.

Jawa Scrambler Price

The Scrambler will be priced at a slight premium. you can expect a price of about Rs.1.8 lakhs for the Scrambler and about 1.95 lakhs for the Adventure versions, ex-showroom, respectively.

Jawa Scrambler Launch Date

Jawa is aiming at expanding its product portfolio. After launching the Perak, a factory-custom bobber, the company now aims to get in to the adventure category as well. It shall be exciting to see how Jawa designs the scrambler and adventure versions. There are many Jawa fans waiting to head out to their favourite destinations and the Jawa Scrambler and Adventure shall be welcome launch for them. We expect the Jawa Scrambler and Adventure to be launched by mid 2021.
