After undergoing months of testing, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 401 have been officially launched in India, priced at Rs 2.19 lakh and Rs 2.92 lakh, respectively. This release signifies a generational shift for Husqvarna, with both bikes now based on the latest KTM models. Previous concerns about the bikes being small yet tall have been addressed in this new generation.

The Svartpilen 401 is equipped with a 46hp, 39Nm engine and features Pirelli rubber. It boasts a TFT dash for enhanced display. The Vitpilen 250, on the other hand, comes with traction control and a bidirectional quickshifter. Unlike its predecessor, the 2024 Vitpilen 250 has a roadster design, featuring a curved handlebar for a sporty yet comfortable riding position.

Husqvarna has also addressed space constraints by increasing the seat length by 100mm and reducing the seat height by 22mm to 820mm. Both the Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 401 exhibit a larger and more comfortable design compared to their predecessors. The Vitpilen 250 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder engine similar to the KTM 250 Duke, with a 5-inch LCD dash and a traction control system.

Despite sharing many underpinnings with the KTM 250 Duke, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is priced at Rs 2.19 lakh, making it Rs 20,000 more affordable. The Svartpilen 401, based on the Gen 3 390 Duke, is priced at Rs 2.92 lakh, undercutting the KTM 390 Duke by Rs 19,000. Both bikes offer comparable features and performance to their KTM counterparts.

In summary, the new generation of Husqvarna bikes addresses previous design and size concerns, offering a more comfortable and spacious riding experience. The competitive pricing and features make them attractive options for riders in the Indian market.
