Ducati XDiavel V4 Launched in India: MotoGP-Derived 168 hp Sport Cruiser Priced from ₹30.88 Lakh
Ducati India has officially launched the all-new XDiavel V4, introducing a new chapter in the brand’s Sport Cruiser lineup. Blending the performance of a MotoGP-derived V4 engine with the laid-back ergonomics of a cruiser, the XDiavel V4 redefines expectations in the premium cruiser segment with its distinctive design, advanced electronics, and surprising agility.
At the heart of the motorcycle is Ducati’s latest 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, producing 168 hp and 12.8 kgm of torque. Derived from the Desmosedici Stradale platform, the engine features a counter-rotating crankshaft inspired by Ducati’s MotoGP machines, significantly reducing gyroscopic inertia and enhancing handling. Despite its muscular cruiser stance, the XDiavel V4 delivers unexpected nimbleness and strong low- to mid-range performance, making it equally engaging in city riding and on open highways.

The XDiavel V4 has been completely redesigned for improved comfort and dynamic riding. Ergonomic updates include a lower seat height of 770 mm, a repositioned handlebar for better control, increased rear suspension travel, and a thicker, more supportive rider seat. Passenger comfort has also been enhanced with a larger, more padded seat and a standard rear grab handle, reinforcing the bike’s touring credentials.
Design remains a standout element. The muscular fuel tank, exposed mechanical components, and signature four-exit exhaust underline Ducati’s Sport Cruiser philosophy. The single-sided aluminium swingarm highlights the massive 240-section rear tyre and five-spoke alloy wheels inspired by American muscle cars. Full-LED lighting with Ducati’s signature DRL and a distinctive “Welcome Effect” add a modern, premium touch.
In terms of electronics, the XDiavel V4 is equipped with a comprehensive rider assistance suite, including a 6-axis IMU, Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Power Launch, and four Riding Modes—Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet. A new 6.9-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity enables smartphone pairing and optional turn-by-turn navigation via the Ducati Link App.

Despite its cruiser proportions, Ducati claims impressive performance figures. The XDiavel V4 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds, while Brembo Stylema® calipers and 330 mm discs deliver exceptional braking performance, supported by finely tuned ABS calibration.
For riders seeking further customisation, Ducati Performance offers a wide range of accessories, including panniers for touring, different windscreens, comfort and lowered seats, rear-set footpeg kits, single-seat tail fairings, and premium carbon and machined components.
The Ducati XDiavel V4 is available in India in two exclusive metallic colours:
-
Burning Red – ₹30,88,700 (ex-showroom)
-
Black Lava – ₹31,19,700 (ex-showroom)
With the XDiavel V4, Ducati has successfully fused high-performance engineering with cruiser comfort and unmistakable Italian design, creating a Sport Cruiser that stands apart in the luxury motorcycle segment.
