Bajaj Auto launches the Platina 110 ABS – India’s first 100 – 115 cc commuter motorcycle with ABS

Bajaj Auto launched the Platina 110 ABS with a segment-first Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Every 2nd motorcycle sold in India is a 100 – 115 cc commuter motorcycle and hence the introduction of ABS braking in this segment is an important step in ensuring road safety for these commuter riders.

The new Platina 110, equipped with ABS enhances safety by reducing braking distance and providing better stability in any emergency-braking situations that may arise due to the sudden appearance of stray animals, frequent potholes, and slippery & uneven surfaces.

The Platina 110 ABS, like previous Platina models, comes with the added benefit of ‘Comfortec’ which includes a comfortable seat, and longer front and rear suspensions ensuring a comfortable, jerk-free ride. The headlights with DRL provide clear visibility to the rider, further enhancing the safety factor. The new digital speedometer has an ABS indicator, gear indicator, and gear guidance feature.

The Platina 110 ABS, priced at 72,224 (ex-showroom Delhi), is powered by a 115.45 cc engine that delivers 8.6 PS power at 7000 rpm and torque of 9.81 Nm at 5000 RPM.  Complete with dependable performance, competitive mileage, and tough build, Platina 110 ABS comes in three appealing colors – Ebony Black, Cocktail Wine Red, and Saffire Blue.
