Automobili Lamborghini has added another accolade to its growing list of achievements, with the exclusive Fenomeno securing the coveted Red Dot: Best of the Best 2026 award in the Product Design category. Limited to just 29 units worldwide, the Fenomeno represents the pinnacle of Lamborghini’s design philosophy and engineering expertise.
The Red Dot Design Award is regarded as one of the most prestigious honours in the global design industry, recognising projects that set new benchmarks in innovation, quality, and creativity. The “Best of the Best” distinction is the highest recognition awarded by the jury and is reserved for products that demonstrate exceptional vision and design excellence.
Commenting on the achievement, Mitja Borkert, Design Director at Lamborghini, described the Fenomeno as a “manifesto of style” that expands the brand’s design language while remaining true to Lamborghini’s heritage of creating exclusive few-off models.
Celebrating 20 Years of Centro Stile
The Fenomeno marks a significant milestone for Lamborghini as it commemorates the 20th anniversary of the company’s Centro Stile design division. The model introduces Lamborghini’s new concept of “hyper-elegant” design, where every element is distilled to its purest form while maintaining maximum functionality and aerodynamic efficiency.
At the front, the Fenomeno features aggressive racing-inspired air intakes and a distinctive new daytime running light signature inspired by the iconic bull horns found in Lamborghini’s logo. Signature Y-shaped design elements further reinforce the brand’s visual identity, connecting the carbon-fibre front splitter with the sharply sculpted headlamps.
The side profile is dominated by a single uninterrupted line that stretches across the entire length of the car, creating a modern interpretation of Lamborghini’s traditional silhouette. The design also pays homage to the long-tail proportions of the Essenza SCV12, while aerodynamic carbon-fibre elements contribute to both styling and performance.
Lamborghini’s Most Powerful and Fastest Road Car
Beneath the striking bodywork lies Lamborghini’s most advanced powertrain to date. The Fenomeno combines the brand’s most powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine ever with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 1,080 hp.
The hybrid setup enables breathtaking performance figures. Lamborghini claims a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2.4 seconds, while 0-200 km/h arrives in 6.7 seconds. Top speed exceeds 350 km/h, making the Fenomeno the fastest production Lamborghini ever created.
The hypercar also boasts an impressive weight-to-power ratio of 1.64 kg per horsepower, setting a new benchmark for the Italian marque.

The Red Dot: Best of the Best 2026 award further reinforces Lamborghini’s position as one of the world’s leading automotive design houses. With the Fenomeno, the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer has not only showcased its vision for the future but also demonstrated how cutting-edge technology, performance, and design can coexist in an ultra-exclusive package.
The official Red Dot Design Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on July 7, 2026, at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany, where the Fenomeno will be honoured among the year’s most outstanding design achievements.
