JK Tyre Launches India’s First Passenger Car Tyre with ISCC Plus Certified Sustainable Materials

Production begins at the Chennai plant, advancing green innovation and circular economy goals.

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., a pioneer in tyre innovation, has begun production of India’s first passenger car tyre made with ISCC Plus-certified sustainable materials. The new ‘UX Royale Green’ tyre is being manufactured at the company’s Chennai Tyre Plant, setting a new benchmark in sustainable mobility and reinforcing JK Tyre’s commitment to green technology and circular manufacturing.

The tyre is developed using ISCC Plus-certified raw materials, which ensure traceability and responsible sourcing of renewable and recycled content. This global certification validates JK Tyre’s focus on reducing its environmental impact through innovation and sustainable practices.

Originally developed in August 2023, the UX Royale Green is the result of over a decade of research at JK Tyre’s Global Tech Centre. Made with up to 80% sustainable, recycled, and renewable materials, the tyre has undergone extensive evaluation to meet the highest performance standards.

  • Bio-attributed polymers

  • Renewable oils

  • Recycled rubber powder

  • Recovered carbon black

All materials are sourced under circular economy practices and backed by full value chain traceability.
